Buffalo Larry

Born on a small island in Michigan and raised on the sounds and spirit of Detroit, Buffalo Larry has spent more than twenty-five years building a life around craftsmanship, creativity, and connection. Whether behind the chair or behind a microphone, he's always believed the best work comes from showing up with authenticity. His career has taken him from styling celebrities, musicians, athletes, and public figures to becoming a trusted fixture within the Las Vegas community. Recently named to the Depot National Artist Team, Larry continues to educate, inspire, and share his approach to grooming with professionals across the country. On stage, he's shared bills with artists including Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr., Junior Brown, Shooter Jennings, Dale Watson, and many others, bringing the same honesty to his music that he brings to his work.

Away from the salon, you'll usually find Larry on two wheels. A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, he's proud to collaborate with brands like Harley-Davidson, Biltwell, Choppers Magazine, and Iron & Resin—companies that value craftsmanship, heritage, and the freedom of the open road. But above every title, accomplishment, or collaboration, the role he values most is being a father to his daughter, Ocean. She is the reason behind everything he builds. Through every haircut, every song, every mile, and every new project, his greatest hope is to show her that life is meant to be lived with courage, kindness, humility, and a sense of adventure. The rest is simply part of the journey.

Makeshift Union Cutting & Grooming’s mission is to create an environment that caters to the ‘everyday’ person, focusing less on the ego of the hair stylist, and more on the needs of the client. Our name is derived from two sources: First, “Makeshift”: using only what is necessary and available to create and sustain. And “Union”: promoting solidarity among colleagues and clients alike to form a singular bond. Formed in Las Vegas, NV in 2013, The Rhyolite Sound bring their own desert honky tonk to the stage, blending elements of Outlaw, Rockabilly, Honky Tonk, Blues, and Rock n Roll. Their aim is to attract the hardest-core traditionalist as well as the most casual country music fan with a live show that's raucous and rowdy, containing plenty of banter in between songs to keep their audience entertained. Delicately weaving their melodies and harmonies alongside madness and mayhem, The Rhyolite Sound are purveyors of pure honky tonk in an impure world.

Throughout the years, The Rhyolite Sound have been fortunate to share the stage with acts such as: Willie Nelson, Whitey Morgan and The 78s, Koe Wetzel, Dale Watson, Blackberry Smoke, Junior Brown, The Reverend Horton Heat, Wanda Jackson, Shooter Jennings, mike and the moonpies, American Aquarium and many more.
